Finally arrived - authentic
Japanese style nail salon – SpaNail in NYC! (name is a bit awkward..)
The concept of the salon is: blend of Tokyo Modern and Soho Classic – cool?
SpaNail has over 70 salons throughout Japan and is known as a pioneer for Japanese nail art and gel nails; and this is their long-awaited first flagship store abroad.
I was excited to visit the salon and try one of the latest Japanese gel nails.
Look how polished the salon looks!
By the way, gel nail is mainstream in Japan. It is hard to go back to regular manicure once you tried gel nail – it’s much prettier, healthier, and lasts up to 1 month!
Gel manicure is definitely getting popular in NY, but using a UV light is a controversy sometimes.
So, “Spa Nail” brought cutting-edge technology from Japan to compensate this.
Their new approach called “Parfait Gel”, uses an “LED light” instead of a UV light.
I was amazed by how quickly this LED machine hardened my gel – only five seconds – a jaw dropping experience!
You can feel the spirit of Japanese hospitality throughout - from a warm greeting, hot tea, a gentle hand massage, attention to details, and a refined finish -at a spotless environment.
Gradation, marble, and see-through are not new anymore; “drop in” nail art is the buzz. This creates a water paint effect – subtle ambiguity just like Monet’s painting!
You will have great time here - I promise! - with superb services and the hottest nail art!
